About Coach Steven Ting

Steven has been playing tennis for 30 years. He played college tennis in Taiwan and spent five years training as a tennis professional in Shanghai. He is a four-time WACTA 4.5 singles champion (2002, 2004, 2006, 2012) and the 2006 MCTA Summer Final 4.0 singles champion. He is a USPTA certified member and worked as a high school junior varsity tennis coach at Sidwell Friends School in Washington D.C. from 2007 to 2009. His practices were geared toward improving the younger players so that they might be able to compete successfully on the varsity team and he continues to improve the playing ability and enjoyment for hist students the Montgomery TennisPlex.
