Reserved Indoor Seasonal Court Time, Spot Time, and Tennis Court Rules


Seasonal Court Time (32 Weeks)

Seasonal court time applications for the 32-week 2021/2022 season are now available. Montgomery TennisPlex is pleased to announce its 9th season! We are proud to offer the best rates at the best courts in Montgomery County! Reserve your favorite time and guarantee that you will be able to play every week and will have the right to reserve this same time every year.

We have eight (8) beautiful indoor hard courts and four (4) beautiful lighted outdoor hard courts in South Germantown Recreational Park. The indoor courts are under two air-conditioned bubbles for comfortable year-round play. The United States Tennis Association recognized the Montgomery TennisPlex as an "Outstanding Facilities Award Winner," one of just 12 such recognized tennis centers in America. The TennisPlex has been recognized with many additional awards over our last seven seasons.

Benefits of Seasonal Court Time Exclusively at the TennisPlex

  • Convenience to play tennis and get regular exercise - even during high demand times - without the need to make reservations.
  • Competitive season court time rates compared to other local indoor tennis facilities.
  • Everyone receives membership privileges with no membership fees and no guest fees.
  • Seasonal reservations will be on a “first come first served” basis - no lottery.
  • One make-up week may be rescheduled for similarly priced court time.
  • "Incumbent" seasonal customers (who had contracts for the 2020/2021 season) have first option on same court time in 2021/2022 season so long as they apply by 4/30/20.
  • This year, we are giving six FREE hours of Spring/Summer court time for those who complete the application process and pay in FULL by June 15, 2021.

How to Apply for 2021-22 Seasonal Court Time

To apply for seasonal court time, just send in the Seasonal Court Time Application. Please note the following:


Dates and Holidays

    Please check your calendars before requesting seasonal court time! Refunds are not allowed for unused time.
  • The 32-week indoor season runs from 9/11/21 through 5/8/22.
  • Every seasonal contract receives 32 weeks of play.
  • Seasonal contracts do not include the following holiday periods:
    • November 22-28, 2021
    • December 19, 2021 - January 1, 2022

    Important Notes
  • Monday through Friday from 4pm to 7pm will not be available for seasonal court time.
  • Availability on Saturday & Sunday from 10am to 7pm will be limited.
  • The 7% Maryland State "Admission and Amusement Tax" will be be added to the rates listed above.

Key Dates

March 15, 2021: Seasonal court time application and deposit acceptance period begins.
April 30, 2021: “Incumbent” seasonal customers (who had contracts for the 2020/2021 season) have first option on same court time in 2021/2022 season so long as they apply and send in their deposits by 4/30/21.
June 15, 2021: Final payment due to secure seasonal time. If full payment is not received by this date, then courts will be released and deposits will not be returned.
September 11, 2021: Season begins.
May 8, 2022: Season ends.


Montgomery TennisPlex Seasonal Court Time Policies

Please read carefully. If you have questions, please email Info@Montgomerytennisplex.com or call, 240-477-4430.

  1. All seasonal time requests are on a "first come first served" basis.
  2. Seasonal time must be reserved for at least one hour on the hour, except Monday through Friday before 4pm when reservations may be made on the half-hour.
  3. We will inform you if you received your choice(s) and, if necessary, discuss back-up options.
  4. If application is not accepted, we will return your deposit.
  5. The TennisPlex reserves the right to change court assignments at any time.
  6. Re-sales and/or transfers of seasonal court time rights may occur only with written approval by a Montgomery TennisPlex officer.
  7. All players must provide their name, mailing address, email address, at least one phone number and a signed waiver before they play. Captains are responsible to ensure that all who play on their court have submitted signed waivers to the TennisPlex.
  8. All players must check in at front desk before playing to confirm court assignment and, if needed, to sign waivers.
  9. Seasonal contracts will not include the following holiday periods: 11/22/21 to 11/28/21 and 12/19/21 to 1/1/22.
  10. Successful applicants and all players must sign a release and indemnity (waiver) form.
  11. Final Payment Timetable
    1. 6/15/21: Pay in full by this date to confirm your seasonal court time. If full payment is not received by this date, then courts will be reassigned and deposits will not be returned.
    2. If seasonal time requests are received 6/16/21 or later, then confirmation will be based on court availability at time of receipt. Full payment is due upon confirmation of court time
    3. 9/10/21: If final payment is made after this date, an extra late fee will be charged.
    4. Final payment must be made in one single payment by check or credit card.

Spot Time

Montgomery TennisPlex Spot Time Policies

  1. Club Hours are 7:00am to 11:00pm. Note: Advance reservations of courts are required for Club to be open at 7:00-9:00am, or 9:00-11:00pm.
  2. Spot time rates are listed above.
  3. Spot time refers to individual court time reservations as opposed to seasonal court time, which lasts an entire 32-week season.
  4. Tennis courts are for public use. There are no membership fees and no guest fees.
  5. All courts must be reserved and paid for before play begins.
  6. Courts may be reserved in 1-hour increments (on the hour) during Club Hours, 7:00am-11:00pm. Note: Advance reservations of courts are required for the Club to be open at 7:00-9:00am, or 9:00-11:00pm.
  7. Spot time reservations may be made up to 7 days in advance by contacting the club in-person or by phone.
    1. To reserve a court 7 days in advance, players must contact the Club after 1:15pm.
    2. To reserve a court 6 or fewer days in advance, players may contact the Club any time during Club hours.
  8. Cancellations for all courts must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the court time reservation; otherwise the reserving player will be charged in full for the court time.
  9. All participants must provide their name, mailing address, email address, at least one phone number and a signed disclaimer before play begins.

Tennis Court Rules

Playing Rules

  1. All fees must be paid before play begins.
  2. Players may use only the courts assigned to them for the time that has been allotted to them. Players remaining on courts after time allotted will be charged for an additional hour of time.
  3. Please toss all trash before leaving the courts.
  4. Official clocks located on the wall of each bubble and in the clubhouse will be used to determine court changes.
  5. At this time, we are NOT providing water and cups on-court. We strongly encourage you to bring your own water bottles. We follow Montgomery County and State of Maryland Covid-19 Regulations and Restrictions.
  6. Only plastic containers – and no glass containers – are allowed on the courts or in the playing facility.
  7. Rules of tennis etiquette must be followed in the court area.
  8. Non-marking, light-color soled tennis shoes and proper tennis attire only.
  9. Up to four players are allowed to play on each court at a time.
  10. No instruction allowed and no business may be conducted on tennis courts other than by TennisPlex staff. No ball hoppers or ball machines are allowed on courts. A maximum of six tennis balls are allowed on court for play. Please contact us with special requests.
  11. All players Must follow both Montgomery County and State of Maryland Covid-19 Regulations should there be any at the time of next seasonal court time season.

Other Rules

  1. All children must be supervised while on TennisPlex grounds.
  2. No food or beverages (other than water) may be taken into bubbles or on outdoor courts.
  3. The possession and/or consumption of alcohol on TennisPlex property are prohibited.
  4. The TennisPlex is not responsible for lost or misplaced items.
  5. Please recycle by discarding all recyclable items in designated receptacles

Note: Failure to observe the above rules may result in removal from the TennisPlex facility, being barred from future use of the TennisPlex facility and/or pursuit of legal remedies. No refunds will be made for unused time for those who do not follow rules.
